It takes only about 30 minutes to drive from Peralta to Torre del Lago where the famous Puccini Festival is held each July/August. 

The operas are beautifully produced, outside, by the lake. If you enjoy opera, then it is well worth while trying to combine a visit to Peralta with one of the following dates.
